The Department of History is established with the establishment of the college in July-2001. This Department is an integral part of Late Babasaheb Deshmukh Gorthekar Arts, Commerce and Science College, Umri, Dist. Nanded. This College belongs to rural area. Our department offered only UG level degree course, there are many students who have been learning History as their optional Subject. The History Department prepares students for a wide range of careers by teaching a core set of transferable skills through the study of societies, cultures across a broad chronological and geographical spectrum. Careful attention to evidence, drawn from a wide variety of source material.
The History Department seeks to build its students transferable skills, employability and intellectual curiosity, along with raising public awareness about the past and its legacies, through teaching, research and service activities conducted locally, statewide, regionally, nationally and internationally.
